Mileage and MOT

MOT, from the government's MOT records (DVSA, the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency), as of 5 November 2026: the latest record we hold ran out on 17 March 2026; ask the dealer for the current MOT.

It failed its MOT on 18 March 2025 (nearside registration plate lamp inoperative in the case of multiple lamps or light sources; nearside front anti-roll bar linkage ball joint dust cover no longer prevents the ingress of dirt) and passed later the same day.

Advisories at the latest test: nearside front tyre worn close to legal limit/worn on edge; offside front tyre worn close to legal limit/worn on edge; front brake pad(s) wearing thin.

Mileage at that test: 70,937 miles. The advert says 70,000 miles, fewer than the MOT record, so ask the dealer which is right.

Advertised mileage is about 3,500 miles higher than the median mileage of a 2017 Vauxhall Astra on AskCar.
