Price

Good value: £805 (9%) under the AskCar estimate of £8,800.

The AskCar estimate is our expected asking price for this car. It uses UK dealer asking prices, accounting for make, model, trim, version, age, mileage, fuel, gearbox, body type, driven wheels, engine size and power. It is an advertised price, not a confirmed sale price.

It draws on 8,195 priced Volkswagen Polo adverts across different ages and specifications, as of 7 November 2026.

A 2020 Volkswagen Polo with the 1.0 petrol engine is typically advertised at £11,900: the median of the 402 for sale on AskCar, as of 7 November 2026.

Mileage and MOT

MOT, from the government's MOT records (DVSA, the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency), as of 7 November 2026: valid until 3 September 2027.

It failed its MOT on 27 August 2026 (nearside front headlamp aim too low; offside front headlamp aim projected beam image is obviously incorrect; nearside front upper anti-roll bar linkage ball joint dust cover no longer prevents the ingress of dirt; and 2 more) and passed later the same day.

Advisories at the latest test: nearside front outer drive shaft joint constant velocity boot severely deteriorated.

Mileage at that test: 87,082 miles. The advert says 86,000 miles, fewer than the MOT record, so ask the dealer which is right.

Advertised mileage is about 44,900 miles higher than the median mileage of a 2020 Volkswagen Polo on AskCar.
